Dear Shareholders, Patrons and Employees, The Board of Directors of the Goodwine Cooperative Grain Company and the Ludlow Cooperative Elevator Company have entered into a study to explore the potential benefits of a merger of the two cooperatives. Goodwine Coop has 4 facilities located at Goodwine, Bryce, Alonzo and Fountain Creek totaling about 4.4 million bushels of storage space. Ludlow Coop has 7 facilities located at Ludlow, Paxton, Buckley, Perdueville, Piper City, LaHogue and Danforth totaling about 18.1 million bushels of storage space. Ludlow, like Goodwine, has been in business well over 100 years. They have an excellent train loading facility in Paxton that we believe would give us an opportunity to provide better bids at our facilities for years to come. Our goal is to continue to provide good local facilities with better bids and long term financial strength. We will keep you informed as the study goes forward.
