Grain Trading Volume Light

The commodities are trading mixed on the last trading day of the calendar year with corn and beans lower and wheat a touch firmer.  For the week, corn futures are up approximately 4 cents, wheat is 5 to 13 cents firmer and soybeans are up roughly 16 cents.  Thus far for the month, corn is up a penny, wheat is 1 to 4 cents higher and beans are down 28 cents.  For the year, so far, corn is

Grains and soybeans have staged a post-Christmas rally during the overnight hours with old crop beans posting double-digit gains.  Oversold technicals and dryness in Northern Brazil  are fueling the corn and soybean rally.
