Corn Has Lost 35¢ This Month

Not a lot of news as we end the month.  So far, corn has lost 35 cents this month, beans 180 cents, and meal $63.  Funds have held a very sizeable short in wheat, now have a moderate short in corn, and still hold a sizeable long position in beans.  6-10 and 8-14 day weather forecasts are moderating temp-wise in the 8-14 day but also fading precip chances.  Not quite the dire weather anticipated heading into August compared to what

The Dollar is weaker this morning

Good morning. Grains and soybeans are little changed this morning as fresh news is scarce. The Dollar is weaker this morning after comments yesterday afternoon following the Fed meeting wrap-up indicated no  interest rate hike and no more than one hike the balance of 2016. The weaker Dollar is supporting commodities in general.  Weather forecasts are generally in agreement that a hot period will affect the Midwest from August 2 – 6, followed moderating temperatures by
