Mixed Is The Word Market-wise

Good morning. Mixed is the word market-wise this morning with wheat showing strength on dry weather concerns in the Black Sea region. Some light rain is forecast for southern and central Russia this week but it won’t be enough to provide much relief. Wheat can be sowed in that region until late October so we will be watching weather there for several weeks to come. The U.S. experienced an active harvest weekend although some showers slowed soybean harvest yesterday. Slight

Quiet Night of Trading

Good morning. Markets are lower this morning after a quiet night of trading. Weather forecasts haven’t changed much this week – mostly dry and warm conditions are expected across the Midwest the next ten days, and there is a general lack of any significant market moving news other than the debate over how many soybean sales will be forthcoming from China’s U.S. visit which culminates in a contract signing ceremony this morning in Iowa.
