Mid Co Morning Comments

Good morning. Grains and soybeans spent most of the night in the red as the Dollar has once again firmed and weather is favorable. China’s manufacturing index fell to its lowest level of the year which points to more weakness ahead for the Chinese economy. There is talk that the droughty conditions this summer will cause the EU to import an additional 4 to 6 MMT’s of corn. A big negative this week has been concern about corn and soybean

MidCo Morning Comments

Good morning. A weaker Dollar has set the stage for a short covering rally overnight and early this morning for both grain and soybean markets. Otherwise there isn’t a lot of fresh news in the marketplace. It does look like the Eastern Midwest weather forecast is turning wetter for the next week with daily chances for rain expected from Saturday through the middle of next week. Export woes seem to be worsening as South American offers for corn and soybeans
