MidCo Morning Comments

Good morning. Markets are slightly lower this morning in quiet trading as fresh news is scarce. Japan overnight did buy 110,000 MT’s of wheat which will come from the U.S., Canada, and Australia. South Korea bought 63,000 MT of Brazilian corn. South American corn offers remain below the U.S. Gulf, but Argentine values did firm somewhat yesterday. Good morning. Following a lower opening yesterday evening, corn and soybean prices have rallied modestly on light short covering  and on increasing tensions in Ukraine. Ukraine is trying to push Western Nations into more sanctions against Russia. As many as 1000 Russian troops may now be in Ukraine.
