MidCo Morning Comments

Good morning. Grains and soybeans are mixed this morning as we finish up 2013. There doesn’t appear to be any news to move the market much either way today (remember we have normal trading hours today). Harvesting of soybeans in Mato Grosso, Brazil’s top-producing soybean state has begun where a record crop is expected. The Rosario Exchange is predicting the Argentine soybean crop to total 55 MMT’s vs. 48.3 MMT’s a year ago. Russian grain exports since July

MidCo Morning Comments

Good morning. Grains and soybeans are lower this morning following soaking rains of up  to 2.0” that fell on dry areas of Argentina and Southern Brazil. Additional rainfall is expected through Thursday with temperatures near normal. Early planted corn is beginning to pollinate in Argentina, so the rain came at an ideal time. Planting is not yet finished for Argentine farmers – an estimated 83% of soybean acres are now in the ground and corn planting is estimated
